Robin Larson, Ph.D. is a retired Captain with over 23 years of experience with the Pompano Beach Police Department and the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Throughout her public service tenure, Robin’s responsibilities focused on the supervision, training and development of personnel, including both sworn and civilian personnel, as well as front-line supervisors and mid-level managers. As the Executive Director for the Department of Professional Standards, Robin’s management responsibilities encompassed the agency’s policy, planning and research divisions as well as Internal Affairs, and the Institute for Criminal Justice Studies, one of 40 FDLE-certified training centers in Florida. During her tenure, Robin helped develop and facilitate the Supervisor Leadership Academy and the Executive Leadership Program, and she had the unique opportunity to manage several significant projects, including: a new CAD/RMS installation, an agency merger and organizational restructuring. Robin Larson has served as an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University and Barry University in Criminal Justice and Public Administration degree programs. She holds doctorate and masters degrees in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
